Thursday Thirteen #4

Thirteen Things about CLARENCE

Thirteen People I Saw This Week:

1. Georgi – I invited myself to hers. How rude! Actually, I said, “Can I gatecrash?” when she was talking about people coming over. She didn’t seem to mind, though, and she was very hospitable. She made the best almond cake. She’s fab at baking. And I met some of her friends, whose names I now can’t remember…

2. Kendy – at playgroup, it was her birthday, hurrah! I gave her two packets of Smarties for a birthday present. A bit stingy, perhaps. I said, “I hope you like Smarties…” It turns out she does like Smarties, lucky.

3. Sang – he was upset and took my hand, saying something in Vietnamese and crying. And I thought, “I wish I could speak his language!” It turned out he was upset because he couldn’t find his mom. I felt quite special when I realized that he trusted me enough to hold my hand.

4. The girl who wears the glasses and is studying to be a doctor – and she is one of the people I met at Georgi's, which is why I can’t remember her name. But she seemed very nice. I was entirely impressed that she is studying to be a doctor – must be a right smarty.

5. Hayley – and we talked about the mural we are going to be painting. It’s all starting tomorrow – yay! Except, she can’t come tomorrow, as she’s got a rostered day off – booh!

6. Three Women standing out the back of Radio Rentals – they were standing in a huddle, smoking cigarettes, and looking over their shoulders. I saw them as I was sitting on the very slow 222 bus. They looked like disgruntled RR employees. I wondered if they were planning to oust their boss – mutiny!

7. The guy at the gym who could talk the hind leg off a donkey – he was networking, as usual. I think he must know everybody at the gym. At least he doesn’t know me. He talks so loudly that you can’t not overhear. He talks local politics. He does most of the talking. He hasn’t cornered me yet, I’m a bit worried about that happening. Must try and avoid him.

8. Little baby Hannah – and she is so sweet! She is always so content and serene. I wish I could be as happy and peaceful as she is. Oh, I’ll just go for making baby talk to her and getting little baby cuddles – you can’t be unhappy with that.

9. I also saw little baby India and her friend, whose name escapes me right now – three happy little babies in one day, bonus for clucky old me.

10. Oh, number nine counts for two…

11. Johnny Depp – unfortunately this was just on dvd and not in real life.

12. Our Sweaty Faced Prime Minister
– luckily this was just on the news, and I could switch it off.

13. Myself – when I looked in the mirror each morning, “Not you again!”

I thought there for a minute you really saw Johnny Depp. I was thinking we might need to become best friends. But, then I read the rest. Oh well. We can still be friends though, if you want.
